There are two conditions that would require the PTC campus to shut down during the continued pandemic: an outbreak of the virus on campus or recommendations from local, state, and/or national health/government officials in response to a spike in reported cases. PTC will constantly monitor both community and campus factors to influence the decision to close the campus.
The following factors will be taken into consideration when determining whether PTC’s campus must be closed:
- Community Factors
- An increase in new COVID-19 infections
- Local hospital capacity/crisis level
- Degree of community spread
- Testing capacity
- Recommendations of local, state, and federal government
- Campus Factors
- Number of COVID-19 cases on campus
- Degree of community spread on campus
- Containment capabilities
- Recommendations of local, state, and federal government
In the event that the PTC campus would need to close for the safety of all community members, education contingency plans will be put in place to keep students on track for program completion to the greatest extent possible.
